We are a growing bunch of friends, who love Jesus and are excited about seeing His Kingdom established in the Five Valleys, Stroud, Gloucestershire.
"I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness."
Isaiah 42:6-7
Church for us isn’t a building or a Sunday service – it’s a family on a mission.
We are bunch of broken people from all ages and backgrounds across the Five Valleys and Stroud area who have a hope in something bigger. We think the love of God in Jesus is the answer to the world's problems. You can find our purpose below.
This is what we were all created for and Jesus said it was the most important thing. We exist to love, adore, admire, revere, cherish magnify and glorify God!
Love has to be practical. We have amazing stories of our community reaching out to those in need. We want to be generous people who live lives that are available to help others.
Learning and maturing together is a key part of the Christian life. If you're not becoming more like Jesus, then what's the point?
Fellowship is more than just being part of a club. It's about getting involved and participating - just like a real family.
We simply want to share what Jesus is doing in our lives, with the people in our lives that don’t know Him yet. Whatever stage they are at we want there to be some way they can find out more.

Little Giants is our children's ministry that aims to see children be all they can be in God as young as possible. Children often don't experience the fullness of God because they are limited by the faith of adults!
The Alpha Course is a great way for people to find out more about God and what the Christian life is all about. We ran our first Alpha Course in 2015, in Nailsworth without about 50 adults and young people.
We have one meeting on Sundays where the whole Five Valleys family gathers together. They tend to be relaxed times where we gather as family to have music-led worship, look at the bible together as well as lots of tea, coffee & cake!
We have tons of stuff going on for young people and really believe in investing in the next generation! There is a weekly Youth group during term time as well as regular weekends away to events like Big Church Day Out and Soul Survivor.
Being a leader at Five Valleys doesn’t make you responsible for the whole of church, yet church can’t happen without you. We make time to gather together as leaders to communicate, feedback, encourage and refresh each other.
Sometimes it’s hard to have real relationships if all you do is meet on a Sunday. Mid-week meetups are an opportunity for people to meet up to pray, study scripture & generally support each other in our journeys.
Since 2011, we have run a Summer Camp. Summer Camp is a chance to get away, spend time as a church family and listen to what God is saying to us. Every year has been different and special in its own way.
We've just started Saturday night worship nights called Exalt! For some it's difficult to worship on Sundays (looking after little ones can be hard work!) These nights are a chance to connect with God.
Steve is an experienced church leader with over 20 years in ministry. Steve used to get paid to be a chef (now he does it for us for free!). He has been known to involve cooking with sharp knives in his sermons.
Katrina & Steve have five amazing children and really are the spiritual parents of the church. When Katrina is not being a mum and child minding, she pastors, teaches and leads our Little Giant's Children's ministry. She is tireless!
Dave & Claire live in Tetbury with Jonathan, their two year old and Fin! You'll find Dave leading us in worship and making sure all church operations run smoothly.
Nick & his wife Jenna live in Brimscombe, with their two daughters, Sophia (three years old) and Chloe (one year old). Ask them about their healing testimony on having children.
We are following the government guidelines and not meeting up in person right now. But we are doing online 'virutal' gatherings!! If you'd like the details for these please email hello@fivevalleys.org
You can also keep in touch on our Facebook Page which we will be regularly updating at this time.
